Accessible Playgrounds: Our Right and Responsibility!
In this accessible playground, we have installed only equipment that is fully suitable for use with and without wheelchairs.
Accessible Swing
The space model accessible swing was specially developed for players in wheelchairs. Often, those in wheelchairs have particularly developed arm muscles, and the principle of this swing utilizes that fact, allowing wheelchair users to swing independently without the need for an assistant. The swing is also suitable for those not in wheelchairs. It can be used while standing, activating the swinging motion in the same manner. The swing is suitable for solo play or for a group of players together.
Accessible Carousel
The Hadas model accessible carousel was also specially developed for players in wheelchairs. It includes a wheelchair in addition to four more players sitting on the carousel bench. Installed flush with the ground for smooth and easy access with a chair.
Accessibility Station
The accessibility station can be connected to a multi-structure and meet the accessibility standard in large gardens or stand alone as we have done in this garden. It includes game boards, a transition surface, and a slide for those who can transfer from their wheelchair. Like the accessible swing and carousel, the accessibility station is also suitable for those who do not require accessibility, and is especially designed to encourage crawling for toddlers.
